Gamble and Profit Live Dealer Sic Bo & Tai Sai Gamble and Profit

The game Sic Bo is a lesser known casino game but is popular amongst those who are familiar with it. The game is basically won by predicting how three dice will fall, the name Sic Bo means pair of dice in Chinese and is also known Tai Sai and Dai Siu. Variants of this game include Grand Hazard and Chuck a Luck.

The simplicity of the game makes it accessible to all players including beginners but the betting options can seem quite complicated to start with. The game is played on a very large table, where lots of different bets are displayed corresponding with the possible totals and combinations that the thrown dice may create.

There are three dice in total that are rolled by the dealer on the table using a dice shaker. Players may choose as many of the bets available on the table as they like. After the betting is finished the dealer will officially call an end to the betting and then shake the dice and roll them onto the table. Online Sic-Bo games usually include a status bar to remind you what bet you have made and to let you know if you have won or lost.

Typically the live Sic-Bo games screen is divided across the middle creating a top and bottom section. The bottom section shows the virtual Sic-Bo table so you can place your bets and the status bar showing you what bet you’ve placed in that game and then the rolls winning outcome. The top section shows the live video of the dealer, which you usually have the option of making full screen. Another panel displays all your recent game history and another may show casino specific information like the name of the table you are playing at, the name of your dealer and usually a telephone number of your dealer. You may also have the option to chat to other on-line players and view a full history of your games.

The rules in Sic Bo are really just the different betting options available on the table. You can make four different types of bet, big or small, pair, total and number. As the betting can seem quite complicated most casinos will offer an explanation of each bet when you move your mouse over the relevant area, then the explanation text of your bet will be shown on screen so you are clear on what bets you have placed.

Small bets are where the total of the three dice is between 4 and 10 and big bets relate to those in which the total is between 11 and 17. The payout for big or small bets is usually 1:1, and ‘small’ or ‘big’ will show on your screen so you know you have won. If each of the dice land showing the same number, then neither the big or small bet wins.

You place a number bet by choosing a specific number to be rolled by the dice. You obviously choose a number from 1 to 6. The payouts increase with the number of the dice that land showing your number, typically 1:1 for one dice, 2:1 for two dice and 3:1 for all three dice.

You can place bets on the combinations of two of the dice by making a Pair Bet. There are 15 combinations available on the table such as 3 and 6 or 2 and 4 and the payout is usually around 5:1.

Players can also bet on the total sum of all three dice, but only on numbers 4 to 17 as 3 and 18 are excluded from this option, the total payout depends on the sum of the dice. So you’ll need to consult that casino’s pay table. Unlike other table games Sic-Bo has no standard set of pay-outs and each casino has their own rules though in general Atlantic City and Vegas casinos have similar pay tables and rules, so make sure you check the pay tables before playing.

Live Sic-Bo has many advantages over traditional online games. There are the obvious shared bonuses of being able to play instantly day and night whenever the mood takes you without having to leave your sofa to play. But a live dealer and game offers you the chance to play with a real dealer throwing real dice in real time so you do not have to trust the casino’s RGN for a fair game, and you can really feel like you are part of the action despite being possibly thousands of miles away. Playing Sic-Bo at Live Dealer Casinos means the dealer is a real person and you usually have the option to tip the dealer as you would in a real casino, plus you can also speak and interact with them as they can see that you are playing on-line and will include you as if you were sitting at the table with them.

There is no more need to dress up or make an impression at a live game as players can anonymously. Plus there is never a wait for a table and of course you don’t have to negotiate the crowds that can gather around real tables. You can also invite your on-line friends to join you at the table if you so wish so you can still play in the company of your friends wherever you all are in the world.
